Music, Worship, and Drama

Our worship life is enriched with lively, blended worship every Sunday morning, a rich drama ministry, and a timeless musical tradition.  Our sermons proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ for all people and explore the challenges of discipleship for each who choose to follow.

An outstanding music program is available at St. John's - we believe music is an integral part of our spiritual experience and invite all to participate. In addition to St. John's Choir, Higher Ground and Handbell Choir, we invite all members and groups to share their musical gifts with us.

Our Groups:

St. John's Choir  is directed by Sean Vander Veen.  Our choir leads services every other week in a wide variety of musical styles.  We're always looking for new singers!!    Please contact Sean at: if you're interested in joining us.  In the meantime, let them sing a song for you.

Higher Ground  is a mainstay of St. John's contemporary and evening services.  This small group has been singing together every week for nearly a decade!  Their tight vocal harmonies and upbeat demeanor is sure to get your toes a-tappin'.  Give 'em a listen!

Vox Laudis  comprises St. John's newest ensemble, a female group whose soaring voices are guaranteed to touch your heart.  Miss their last service?  Listen to their new music ministry by clicking here.

St. John's Handbell Choir shakes the rafters every 6 weeks.  We're on the hunt for a couple more musicians!  No ringing experience necessary!

Little Lambs and Singing Shepherds  give an opportunity for our youngest members to get into the act!  These groups are led by Lisa Anderson, Marin Wilts and Brian Johnson on Sunday mornings during education hour.
